Battlefield Relics from Ligny 16th June 1815

The Battle of Ligny was fought on the same day as Quatre Bras just a few miles away.

Napoleon attacked the Prussian army on the higher ground around Ligny. The battle sprawled across several small villages including the hamlet of St Amand.

Napoleon beat the Prussian army in a long and bloody battle but failed to follow up allowing the prussians to regroup at Wavre.

We have only a few Prussian and french balls from this battlefield.
