This collection consists of numerous items found inside the Well of Hougoumont between 1979 and 1985. During this time Derek Saunders (owner of the Broadstairs waterloo museum
and member of the Waterloo Committee) led an expedition to clean and rebuild the Hougoumont Well and parts of the garden wall.
Some of the items found during the excavation are now offered for sale. Most went to auction when the museum was sold but a few were given to a friend in recognition of his help setting up
All items in this section are from the well (Which was excavated to a depth of 60ft) and are marked accordingly.
